For Academics

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Köküne Kadar TV is an independent encyclopedia that presents history in plain language, backed by sources. If you would like to bring your research to a wider readership, we welcome submissions for publication on our site. Faculty members, researchers, and graduate students are welcome to apply; we consider any well-written work on a sound topic.

Why publish here?

  • It’s free. There are no submission or publication fees.
  • Reach readers in 10 languages. With your permission, your article will be translated into the site’s 10 languages: Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Azerbaijani, and Indonesian.
  • Your work carries your name. Your article will appear in the “From an Academic’s Pen” section with your name, academic title, institution, and ORCID link, if you have one.
  • Connect your work to the encyclopedia. Your article will be linked to related topics, the world map, and, where relevant, the “On This Day in History” page.
  • You retain copyright. You grant us only non-exclusive permission to publish your article; you may also publish it elsewhere.

Who can submit?

  • Faculty members and teaching staff,
  • Research assistants and independent researchers,
  • Master’s and doctoral students (including your supervisor’s name helps us assess your submission).

What we look for in an article

  • A topic related to history, archaeology, art history, or cultural history,
  • Sources for every significant claim (a bibliography and in-text citations),
  • Clear writing that readers without specialist knowledge can follow,
  • Original work; if previously published, it must be openly licensed (e.g., CC BY), or you must hold the right to republish it.

There is no fixed length requirement; articles between 1,500 and 6,000 words work best for reading on our site.

How does the review process work?

  1. Complete the form below and upload your article. You will receive an email confirming that we have received your submission.
  2. Our editors review the article for its use of sources, originality, and relevance to the site.
  3. If necessary, we will send you suggested revisions. Your article will not be published without your approval.
  4. The published article will be translated into other languages according to the permission you grant. Translations carry a note stating “not approved by the author”; this note is removed if you approve the translation.

Published articles are presented as editorially reviewed contributions, rather than peer-reviewed journal articles.
